Towns Near Sarlat and Château de Lacoste

These towns are all situated within a 15 minute drive of our wedding venue: Chateau de Lacoste, Castelnaud-la-Chapelle. There are plenty of hotels and B&Bs in the area.

Sarlat-la-Canéda

A historic town with medieval architecture, bustling markets, and numerous restaurants. Perfect base to explore the Dordogne.
This would be our number one recommendation - the town is beautiful to explore and there will be shuttles going to and from the town centre on the night of the wedding. This will also be where the wedding mass will be held.

Coaches will be provided to take you from the Cathedral to our wedding venue.

Castelnaud-la-Chapelle

Home to the Château de Lacoste (our wedding venue), a great town with scenic views over the Dordogne River and nearby villages.

La Roque-Gageac

A picturesque village along the Dordogne River, with cliffside houses and medieval charm.

Domme

A bastide town perched on a hill, offering stunning panoramic views of the Dordogne valley.

Vézac

Situated near Castelnaud, a quieter village close to the river and a short drive from Sarlat.
